Jack Frost's Visit

One of my poems from my book ~
Finding Fey

Jack Frost’s Visit
By Cathy Collar

Jack Frost came to town last night.
He played the whole night long.
He danced along the rooftops,
as he sang an icy song.

Jack Frost came to town last night
and as he worked he whistled,
His breath was left on each eave,
and every bush and thistle.

Jack Frost came to town last night.
He jumped from tree to tree.
He bent and broke their branches,
for everyone to see.

Jack Frost wept as daylight neared.
I know this for a fact.
For he left his icy teardrops,
hanging from my hat.
